The Architect that Built

Outspoken and dedicated to the families of the victims of 9/11, architect Frederic Schwartz has designed many 9/11 Memorials and was involved in the rebuilding of Ground Zero right from the beginning.  We had the honor of interviewing him at his NYC office on November 15th, 2010.

Screen shots from the documentary, The Art of Memories, currently in production:

Fred Schwartz in his NYC office describing the walls in Empty Sky, the NJ 9/11 Memorial.

The original model and plans for The Rising, the Westchester County 9/11 Memorial.

A testimony to the amount of paperwork generated to design architectural projects of this scale.
