On November 18th, 2010, with winter in the air, the WTC Steel from Hangar 17 completed its trip from JFK in NYC to arrive at NS Associates LTD, a metal fabrication business owned by sculptor Noah Savett in Gansevoort, NY.
The WTC Steel will be part of a 9/11 Memorial entitled Tempered by Memory that will sit in downtown Saratoga Springs, NY.
Screen shots from the documentary, The Art of Memories, currently in production:
Saratoga Springs City Center President Mark Baker collects hard hats to tour the location for the Tempered by Memory piece.
The WTC Steel arrives on a flatbed at Noah Savett’s yard but must back in.
Two forklifts were required to unload the WTC Steel.
Joel Reed, Executive Director of the Saratoga Arts Center, joins them for a planning session.
